A blend of five of the best rated dwarf turf type fescues in the National Turf Trials. Including Houndog 8, Crossfire 4, Nightcrawler, Mustang 4 and Rhizing Moon. These choice components in this quality turfgrass blend give this turfgrass a dark green, deep rooted and drought tolerant lawn. University tests show that varieties offered as components of 5-Star are high in disease resistance to the brown patch fungus that occurs in hot, humid areas. 5-Star blend is an evergreen lawn year-round with proper fertilizer and water. It performs as well in shady areas, receiving 2 to 4 hours of filtered sunlight. It stands where you have shade, mowing taller at 3 is best. New lawns 6-7 lbs. per 1,000 sq. ft. Overseeding 4-5 lbs. per 1,000 sq. ft.
